December 13 I'm over itMy god - I am sooooo over it right now. Just everything! It's driving me insane. I don't want to do anything, yet the thought of not doing something makes me insane. Everybody in the universe is pissing me off right now! Particularly, those people whom i have no choice but to associate with, but the commandment 'thou shalt not talk about work on the internet' is something i should probably abide by at the moment.
BUT in a completely (weeel slightly related but not really) different issue, I didn't drink this weekend! AT ALL! That hasn't happened in a really long time (wow, i sound like a real alcho...) but i had the opportunity to and i didnt. Stoked am i at my self-motivation! That also and the fact that i know that being christmastime, i have many many occasions on which to get shit-faced with a reason! YAY! I love christmas! AND i have no money... :(
I did, however, take photos from Saturday night. They are pretty crappy, but i havn't used my camera in a while and I want to make the most of it. So behold: The Calamvale Experience. . . Not REALLY reccommended for people with high standards...
Tonight is my Christmas! Yay ME! What I mean is, that my mother is abandoning us tomorrow to go to sit on some beach in Fiji with some other person's family, thus orphaning my brother and I for the entire Christmas (and my birthday!) experience this year. So, tonight we are going over to my Aunty Vicki's for a combined celebration of my birthday, aidan's birthday and christmas. I'm stoked though, I get the most presents! December 09 I didn't know they could hear us!I am so famous right now. Read this! From overheard in the office! This is from my office! And I am the ditzy receptionist! Stoked am I!

http://www.overheardintheoffice.com/archives/001109.html STOKED! I read this quote the overheard in new york website, and I thought, 'I can imagine having a conversation like this with renee'. If we lived in new york, it could BE us... So here it is, along with the link to it.

December 07 Harry Potter & The Cocolate Crackles that are going to take over the World!I saw the latest Harry Potter movie last night. We went to the cinemas at Sunnybank, witch was weird, because even though they are closer and cheaper, I usually prefer to go up to Garden City.
I was quite impressed with the movie really, I remember that when I was reading the books the Goblet of Fire was my favourite, so I had been looking forward to the movie for ages. It was interesting to see that even though they cut out STACKS of the book, that it still flowed quite well, and the storyline wasn't really effected by them skipping gigantic chunks of events.
Better than the movie was the fact that we got to spend three hours in the air-conditioning! YAY!
I havn't shared my weekend antics for AGES, and I assure everyone they are still in full swing, I just prefer not to re-live my recent embarrasing actions at the moment. But when I get over the general embarassment, and people stop actually DOING the Michael dance, we will all be good. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of seeing the michael dance - It's kind of like a crazy line dance... but worse.
This weekend (just gone), Friday night, I hung out with Renee' and Jose' (crap! I want a dit at the end of my name! Lauren'... i dont think it goes)... and had a few drinks (some of us more than others, Renee') and watched this Coupling show that nay bought the DVD of - It's kinda like an English version of friends for a lack of better explaination.
Saturday was the day of the many many many chocolate crackles. (and i got my nails done, but that's boring). Basically what happened was, Renee' and I were bored. To the point where we were saying in really whiney voices 'iiiim boooored' to anyone and everyone that was listening (even to the people who had already tuned us out!). After much deliberation and stacks of fine prospective ideas thrown out because we couldn't be bothered going swimming, going for a walk, going shopping... we decided to make chocolate crackles. Which pretty much pushes our cooking capabilities to new extremes. But that's ok cos we had Donna for supervision. It went pretty well, but the problem lied in the fact that we decided to make a double batch to get rid of all the ingredients, but we underestimated how many each batch would make by about 50. We ended up with... I reckon 100, no exaggeration (1000 slightly exaggerated), but were so put - off by the two cups of fat that were in them, we couldn't bring ourselves to eat many. Three days later, and three days of people at donna's eating them, and me taking them to work, there are STILL about 50 left!
Hey- that gives me a good idea! Who wants chocolate crackles for christmas!!?!!
December 06 I can't believe it's nearly Christmas!I fully can’t believe that there is only NINETEEN days till Christmas – nineteen! The amount that I am sooo unorganised with anything Christmas-related at the moment is actually starting to freak me out. Particularly because mum flies out to Fiji next Wednesday (which I am fully stoked about), and so I need to have all the presents for her side of my family by Tuesday night… which means, I have to do all that shopping on Saturday – not that I’m complaining about the shopping part- It has been well documented here just how much I LOVE shopping!
And yay! If it’s only nineteen days till Christmas, that means that there’s SEVENTEEN days till my birthday, and till I have holidays from work! YAY! People keep telling me that I’m old! Which is so un-far from the truth- They’re all ‘twenty is half-way to forty’ and I keep saying – yeah, but it took a long time for me to be twenty…
I would just like this opportunity to say HOLY FUCK IT’S HOT! I swear to god, it wasn’t this damn hot this time last year… I am afraid that my air conditioner in my office is going to explode because it runs on the fullest power option available from the minute I walk into the office until I leave in the afternoon. Not to mention the fact that the guys all leave the door open when they come in/out ALL DAY LONG. I think my productivity levels would increase tenfold if I didn’t have to get up every… oh, FIVE MINUTES to shut all the doors. Clearly, if it is 26 degrees (cos it won’t get any cooler) inside, and if it is 36 degrees outside, the average temperature in the office is about 30 degrees when everyone leaves the frikking doors open all the time. Which sucks, because air conditioning is one of the perks of working in an office, so whenever I whinge about it being hot, they always say to me ‘you think it’s hot in here, you should be standing on a roof’… and I think ‘I know- hence, my choosing to work in an office – so I don’t have to! There IS a reason you guys get paid three times as much as I do, and quite frankly, at the moment, I don’t CARE!’
Now, im about to venture into the feral heat to go and get everyone’s lunch- JOY!
